PEME has evolved a robust approach to project management in support of our plant maintenance, electrical installations and mechanical installations services.
We use a process-based approach covering project organisation, management and control. We encourage your involvement throughout the decision making process and work to maintain communication channels between peme and your personnel throughout the engineering project.
Our engineering managers attend external senior project and programme manager training and we provide internal project management training to our supervisors.
The key stages of our project management approach are as follows:
- Define and agree the purpose of the project and your requirements.
- Identify and provide you with a statement of assumptions and risks. These are reviewed throughout the project.
- Before we start execution, we break-down the project into small manageable tasks and produce a Project Plan. This allows us to discuss particular tasks, assess the level-of-effort and cost for each task, assign task owners, produce a task schedule and estimate start and expected finish dates.
- We set-up project milestones based on the Project Plan. Project milestones have dates which we hold ourselves accountable to.
- We hold a project start-up meeting, regular progress meetings and a task closure meeting. This ensures you have excellent visibility of our planned actions and allows us to ensure we are meeting your expectations.
- At the end of every week, we send out a status report listing all the work that has been done in that week, what to expect in the next week and if there are any risks which are beyond our control.
Following completion of a project we capture any lessons – learnt and ensure these are visible across our project teams to assist with continuous improvement.
PEME provides a complete Construction, Design and Management (CDM) service.
