18 Years Done

Neil Gray - PEME Old Timer

To recognise our colleagues that have completed 15 or more years of service with PEME, we have introduced a Long Service Award to acknowledge their commitment and loyalty to both PEME and our clients.  Neil Gray has recently been presented with his award by PEME Operations Manager, Alan Finnie.

The picture shows Alan, presenting Neil with his Long Service Award.  Alan said “I have worked with Neil for many years now and he is a great asset to our business. He is a good all round electrician but we mainly use him for his technical knowledge and ability to read and understand schematic drawings. Neil has been heavily involved in the build and installation of Motor Control Center (MCC) Panels  for many sites and processes.  He has also been actively involved in mentoring our apprentices along the way.”  Alan obliged when the photographer said smile, Neil said “I am smiling”.

Neil is employed within Alan’s department and is currently working on machinery compliance and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) related tasking; this involves him going into our clients factories and bringing their equipment up to present day Engineering Compliance standards.  During Neil’s 18 years with PEME he has worked on a range of projects with many of our clients including Weetabix, Princes Foods, Flint Ink, Ketton Cement, British Gypsum, Stan Chem and Kettle Foods, to name a few in this country and water treatment plants in Scotland and Saudi Arabia.
