Whilst not quite as dramatic as the last few minutes of the English Premier League itself, the PEME football predictions competition has resulted in an incredibly close finish. Congraulations to George Lovell who wins with a total of 537 points (same as Steve King) but by virtue of having 51 correct scores (compared to 49).
Contestants are asked to make score predictions on all matches and score points depending on how accurate they are. Last years winning total was 498 points (2009/10 was 587). The 100 pounds prize for May goes to Garry Maydell who scored 49 points for the month.
The most common result in the Premier League this season was a 1-1 draw (45 times), followed by a 2-1 AWAY win (34 times) and a 1-0 home win (33 times). 171 matches (45%) were home wins, 93 (24%) were draws and 116 (31%) were away wins.
Many thanks for your participation in the competition. Remember to keep checking www.peme.co.uk as our news pages are always being updated. The usual format European Championships predictions competition will follow in due course (details will be communicated to PEME employees).
