Ryan Meierhofer has been recognised as this year’s ‘PEME Apprentice of the Year’ at our annual awards evening. To achieve this award, Ryan has demonstrated excellent commitment, flexibility and customer-care skills combined with outstanding engineering proficiency.
Ryan is in the second year of his mechanical apprenticeship and has so far been employed on two of our Asset Care partner sites, one in the food sector and one in the chemical sector. This has provided him with fabulous Plant Maintenance work experience opportunities covering many assets, operating contexts and failure modes.
Experience of this nature, across multiple-sites allows PEME to deliver the ‘learning by experience’ that compliments the academic, college-based learning that forms part of the PEME Apprenticeship Scheme.
Karen Pike (Associate Director) said “Ryan has impressed both our clients and our own maintenance personnel with his willingness to get involved in tasks and his technical ability. He has already provided some ‘fresh eyes – fresh thinking’ to long standing tasks that are being carried out and suggested ideas for improvement that have been taken.”
Ryan is shown with his award and joins a well-respected list of past PEME Apprentice of the Year Award winners.
