Bert Croal (PEME Electrical Tradesman) has been presented with a PEME Long Service Award, recognising the dedication he has shown to PEME for over 18 years, by his Operations Manager, Alan Finnie.
The picture shows Bert, receiving his award from Alan who said “I have known Bert since he started working for us at the Peterborough Power Station. I have worked alongside him and he has worked on many of the jobs I have been involved in. He is one of the best all round, reliable and flexible electricians I have known with an excellent ‘can do’ attitude. If I could clone Bert I believe I would never have any recruitment issues.”
Bert is currently working on PUWER remedial works for one of our major clients, where a Health-Check has been carried out to assess their compliance. Bert is now responsible for managing the actions from the Health-Check Report, assessing the actual issues in relation to the equipment and then prioritising and carrying out the remedial works agreed with our client.
During his long PEME career, Bert has worked all over the country on all of our major clients sites and has also worked overseas. Bert’s experience and skill-sets cover a wide spectrum of ability from Installation, Panel Manufacture, commissioning, testing, Maintenance and fault investigation and rectification. During his time with PEME he has also been a fantastic mentor to our younger electricians and Apprentices, passing on his experience and work ethic.
