PEME CTR Racing took to the world stage at Donington, racing in the televised 3rd round of the Eastern Airways RKB-F1 Sidecar Championship, as a supporting class for the World Superbike Championship.
The team made their sponsors proud by putting in their best performance in the qualifiers, winning 4th position on the grid in the race line-up. It was then on to a hard fought first race with CTR coming home in 7th place due to getting held-up in the opening laps.
Driving to take their position on the grid for the second race, driver Craig felt something was wrong with the clutch and entered the pit lane for adjustments, but time wasn’t on his side. The pit lane closed before anything could be done, leaving Craig and passenger Kees to take their place on the grid. Unfortunately, Craig’s intuition proved right, the clutch failed and the sidecar ground to a halt, bringing a disappointing end to the weekend.
So, after mixed fortunes at Donington, CTR now head on to Knockhill in Scotland for the 4th round of the Eastern Airways Sidecar Championships.
