During the year, Elaine Brattan from PEME’s Human Resources (HR) department has completed a Level 3 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification in Employment Law.
Elaine joined PEME in April 2011 as a Co-ordinator in the HR team with responsibility for administering many of our processes / systems and ensuring compliance across the business. During her years in the department she has covered several functions such as Recruitment, Training and more recently, Employee Relations.
To achieve the qualification, Elaine was required to demonstrate her understanding of the fundamentals of Employment Law, especially in relation to creating and maintaining the employment relationship. This qualification focuses heavily on the intricacies of such Employment Legislation as the Statement of Particulars, the Employment Status, and some of the many Employment Law Acts including Equality, Discrimination and Family Friendly rights. Elaine sailed through the qualification and is shown receiving her certificate from Associate Director, Karen Pike.
Karen commented “HR is a diverse and complex subject, especially in relation to Employment Law. Elaine’s achievement in gaining this qualification is a great way of demonstrating her vast knowledge across the HR function”.
