Making sure manufacturing assets are running safely and legally is an essential responsibility for all Plant managers. There are many engineering compliance requirements that must be adhered to in order to ensure employees are safe at work. The consequences of non-compliance can include prosecution of the Duty Holder, Engineering Manager and Directors. If you have this level of responsibility you must eliminate or ensure that appropriate measures are put in place to control and reduce risks “as low as reasonably practicable” (ALARP).
