PEME has undergone a periodic audit on our Environmental Management System to comply with ISO14001. Michael Edwards (Health, Safety and Environmental Manager) said “This demonstrates that PEME is, and will remain, an environmentally conscientious company doing all we can to reduce our impact on the environment.”
Following checks on PEME’s environmental records, systems and procedures and visual proof that they were all in place and working to the accreditation requirements, we received a positive recommendation for continued registration to ISO14001:2004 with no Major, Minor or Observations recorded against us.
The International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) 14001 is a family of standards relating to environmental management. They help businesses and organisations improve their working practices in the following ways:

- Comply with laws and regulations relating to the environment, hence avoiding bad practice
- Continually improve processes and therefore standards
