The PEME ‘Making a Difference – Individual Award’ recognises the positive impact an individual has had within PEME and with our clients. The 2016 award was presented by Ashley Maile (PEME MD) to Kevin Boddy.
Kevin joined PEME in 2010 in an operational management role and success has led to back-to-back promotions into his current position of Associate Director with responsibility for Engineering Compliance support to our manufacturing clients and for managing one of our largest client contracts.
He started his engineering career with a mechanical apprenticeship with British Coal and during his 15 years with them he progressed to Shift Charge Engineer at the new Asfordby SuperMine. After the disbandment of the Coal Board, Kevin joined an engineering / fabrication firm which carried out full turnkey projects and scheduled maintenance work on Hydro-static Sterilisers on behalf of major canning factories across Europe. Kevin was promoted through the company to Director level, before leaving after 10 years to join PEME.
Ashley is shown having presented the award to Kevin and said “Kevin oversees our most complex contract and has delivered tangible results whilst championing real improvement initiatives. I am really impressed in the way he has developed his on-site team to ensure they are striving to deliver a brilliant service for our client.”
Kevin’s immediate boss is Darren Martin (Engineering Director) and he said “nominating Kevin for this award this year was a no-brainer; the award is for making a difference and he has for PEME and for our clients.”
No stranger to an Award Ceremony, Kevin said “I’m really pleased to have won this award but I could not have done it alone. This award reflects the contribution from my team and the support we receive from Darren.”
