The PEME Burton Latimer team received their International Safety Award from the British Safety Council at a gala dinner recently held in that-there London. This prestigious award is presented to organisations in recognition of their proven commitment to workplace Health and Safety.
PEME’s Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, Michael Edwards commented: “This is the first time we have entered a PEME team into the British Safety Council awards and we are very proud to have won an award, with Merit. This recognises PEME’s commitment and dedication to achieving the highest levels of Health and Safety. This is extremely important to us within our field of work.”
The picture shows Kevin Boddy (PEME Associate Director responsible for the Burton Latimer team) proudly holding our awarded certificate aloft, cheerfully supported by very dapper representatives from our client, the PEME Burton Latimer team and our Health & Safety team.
After the picture was taken, Kevin said “I’m really pleased to receive this award on behalf of the PEME Burton Latimer team but think it is fitting that team leaders from our on-site team, as well as senior managers, our Health and Safety team and customer stakeholders were able to join us at the award ceremony. Jointly, we have created the expectation, environment, processes and behaviour that have driven us to this point to be recognised with this award. Tonight we celebrate and tomorrow we kick-on and focus on further safety improvements.”
