PEME has recently successfully mobilised a new maintenance outsourcing contract at a Plant in the paint and coatings sector. Having established the PEME Maintenance function the on-site team is now driving through an initiative to deliver continuous improvement.
As part of this continuous improvement initiative, the PEME Operations Manager responsible for this Site, Paul Seammen, organised a visit from the Brammer Mobile Centre of Excellence. The Mobile Centre of Excellence is designed to showcase Brammer’ s unique product and service offering and visits many key customer facilities to demonstrate the company’s capabilities. The facility features innovative, hands-on product displays and video demonstrations from many of Brammer’s world-class supplier partners, including SKF, NSK, Parker, SMC, Festo, Norgren, Rocol, 3M, Ansell and Kimberley-Clark. It also contains interactive demonstration rigs, exhibiting technological innovation and Brammer’s specialist expertise within a number of key product application areas, including drive train, energy efficiency, counterfeit bearings, hydraulic systems, industrial application innovation and lubrication technologies.
The picture shows two of PEME’s on-site engineers, Tony Blacker and Richard Gray discussing new equipment with one of the engineering specialists. Paul Seammen said “it was a fantastic opportunity to be able to discuss new innovations with the specialists in the facility and provided a unique learning experience for all of us. I’m now actively driving through an Action Plan to deliver further improvements at this site and hope to incorporate some of the ideas picked-up during the day”.
