PEME Project Manager Nick Leaton has completed the Grimsthorpe Challenge which is a 60 mile charity bike ride organised for the St.Barnabas Hospice. During his 20+ years career with PEME, Nick has often been told to ‘get on his bike’ and so he has decided to do it and raise funds for charity.
The St Barnabas Grimsthorpe Challenge is a three route sportive starting and finishing in front of the historic Grimsthorpe Castle, near Bourne in Lincolnshire. This event is run in partnership with the charity St Barnabas Hospice and the event takes place on some of the quietest roads anywhere in the UK.
St. Barnabas are Lincolnshire’s leading independent hospice, committed to providing the highest quality palliative and end-of-life care and support for patients and their families living with a life limiting illness in Lincolnshire. Over the past 12 months they have cared and supported more than 5800 patients and their families.
Nick manages projects on behalf of PEME across the world and has recently travelled to South Africa, UAE and Wisbech to ensure projects are completed to time and budget. Nick is shown in the picture at the race start.
