One of our Asset Care team members, based at AkzoNobel Stowmarket, has been presented with an ‘On The Spot Award’ by our client for going above and beyond the call of duty to minimise the effect of a failure on production.
The award is shown being presented to PEME’s Robbie Davis by AkzoNobel Stowmarket Engineering Manager, Jon Asquith. Robbie spent several hours, at night, on the roof of the manufacturing facility, working with an AkzoNobel CI colleague, to address failed routing valves, ensuring any negative impact on productivity was limited.
Robbie started with PEME, over 15 years ago, working with our Asset Care team located in East London. He then moved to join our team in Stowmarket. He has a wealth of knowledge in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and software and is a huge asset to our Plant Maintenance team. Outside work, Robbie is a smart car fanatic owning three of them and belonging to a specialist club.
Paul Seammen, the PEME Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing this contract said “Robbie really did do a fantastic job in supporting our client in addressing this reactive maintenance incident. He stuck resolutely to the task in a safe manner and this commitment has been recognised by the site engineering leaders.”
