It’s that time of the year again when PEME’s Accounts Department asks for help with collecting food for the Peterborough Food Bank. Please just take a moment to think of others at Christmas and any contribution towards this would be greatly appreciated.
Jane Timms advised “we are planning to take the delivery to the Food Bank on Friday 27th November so that we can include, as a treat, some advent calendars for the children, so if you could get your contributions to Accounts before then that would be great and very much appreciated”. Jane can provide a list of the type of items they are after.
This is a local charity that accepts donations of non-perishable food and redistributes it to feed local people who have hit hard times and need some additional support. The picture shows past collections which have previously been successfully delivered to the Peterborough Food Bank.
Jane said “Thank you to everyone that has made a contribution so far but as Bob Geldof once said we still need fecking more food, so anyone who would like to make a contribution please contact accounts – it doesn’t matter how much, every tin or packet counts. You might be surprised by the impact the gift of a single tin of mulligatawny soup can have”.
