PEME is leading a factory closure project in Belgium. The site has been closed for a period of time and presents significant safety, environment and technical challenges that PEME are embracing.
Our experience shows that, to secure a successful outcome, we need to apply rigorous project management as early as possible in the factory closure process and this is the role of the PEME on-site team, headed by PEME Project Manager, Richard Rollings. This multi-phase project involves a mixed team of PEME engineers and local contractor personnel.
Over a six month period, some of the assets will be removed, shipped and installed at other client sites within Europe including the UK. The remainder will be removed and appropriately scrapped. The site will then be cleaned and made good before being marketed to local industry by the client.
PEME operates overseas on a regular basis and our HR team have developed a process which is well equipped to meet the challenges of organising local permits and adapting to local legislation with the minimum of disruption to everyday activities.
