PEME have been invited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) to join a new partnership community for small to medium-sized UK businesses (SMEs) that are driving innovation in engineering and technology.
The IET is one of the world’s largest engineering institutions and works hard to inspire the next generation of engineers and technicians whilst informing the wider engineering community and influencing government and standards to advance society.
PEME was already an IET Business Partner. This network helps us to improve by promoting and developing knowledge and professionalism amongst our staff, building their skills and abilities.
Many of our engineers are individual members of the IET and are registered as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through the IET with the Engineering Council.
PEME Engineering Director, Darren Martin and Neil Parsons (IET member and PEME Operations Manager) are shown receiving our enterprise partner certificate from Nigel Fine (Chief Executive and Secretary of the IET) on the rooftop of the IET headquarters in that there London.
Darren is enthusiastic about this scheme and said “This new SME initiative will provide further opportunities for PEME to invest in the professional development of our staff. It will also provide us with a vehicle to engage with the global engineering community including the larger corporate and academic IET partners.”
