PEME Saves Horse

PEME Reliability Manager and horse whisperer, Duncan Maxwell, routinely uses thermal imaging to save our client’s time and money by finding potential problems before they become expensive failures.

Duncan’s Condition Monitoring team utilises thermal imaging technology to capture heat-generated images to provide an instant, precise, non-contact analysis of asset condition to highlight faulty components such as bearings, motors, fuses, relays, steam pipes, drive gears and belts.

So, when faced with a hobbling-horse that the equine vet was struggling to diagnose the root cause of the problem, Duncan utilised his infrared skills to take thermal images of his horse.  This enabled him to identify an area of raised temperature and pinpoint the seat of pain, assisting the horse vet to arrive at a diagnosis.
