PEME Sponsors Posh

PEME Sponsors Posh

PEME, were delighted to sponsor the recent Peterborough United football game against Scunthorpe United.  This provided PEME with the opportunity to invite some clients and staff to attend the game as guests of PEME Engineering Director, Darren Martin and Finance Director, Ian Morris.

Before watching the game PEME were invited to participate in an exclusive Q&A with the first team manager prior to kick-off.  This provided the opportunity for members of the PEME party to offer some constructive criticism and well-intended advice. Not everything went to plan though, as Peterborough lost to Scunthorpe 0-2 and the first team manager was sacked that very evening.

PEME also had the honour of choosing the official Peterborough United man-of-the-match and present a bottle of champagne to our chosen player following the final whistle.  Darren, is shown presenting Teenage midfielder, Leo Da Silva Lopes, with his award surrounded by the PEME guests, some sporting their official Posh pumps.

Established in Peterborough in 1982, PEME has grown to become award winning, industry leading, Asset Care partners who improve productivity by ensuring our industrial clients have safe manufacturing assets achieving their full potential and have had a long association with Peterborough United football club.

Darren said, “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring this game. Like Peterborough, PEME also supports our local community in a variety of different ways.  Many of our colleagues are local, we have sponsored events and provided equipment to local schools and colleges to promote engineering and many local people have established a career in engineering by starting on the PEME Apprenticeship Scheme.”

If Leo’s career does not take-off, we are always looking for excellent engineers to join our team and have roles available on static sites within the UK and also roaming roles travelling between multiple-sites throughout the UK and internationally, providing the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience.
