The PEME Xmas choir, formed in 2006 and manned exclusively from PEME apprentices, has been performing on our clients sites throughout the year.
The PEME apprentice choir scheme is administrated by HR’s Elaine Brattan who said “it is the perfect solution for boosting or maintaining the morale of our apprentices. The PEME Xmas choir goes into our workplaces and infuses our staff with the feel good factor that singing brings. Not only does it help build a sense of belonging, but singing also has proven and recognised health benefits. It lowers stress, eases tension, improves circulation and respiration and releases loads of good endorphins into the body, which elevate the mood and make our engineers and me feel a whole lot better”.
The PEME Xmas choir came together recently at the annual apprentice evening and entertained their colleagues with old favourites such as:
- “O Little Town of Oldbury”
- “Good King Weetabix”
- “Let it Slough”
- “Santa Claus is coming to Silvertown”
- and their college favourite “Wisbech Wonderland”
Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year
to all our PEME colleagues, Clients and their families.
