Jeremy Chappelle was recently presented with an ‘On The Spot Award’, for his efforts in keeping his Plant operational during a period of bad weather, by AkzoNobel Stowmarket.
As we enjoy the early Summer weather, it’s easy to forget that just a few weeks ago, the ‘Beast from the East’ presented some real challenges to manufacturers. Jeremy was a member of our team responsible for keeping his factory running despite problems caused by pumps and pipework freezing-up. Jeremy was outside for long lengths of time, making sure that systems were defrosted and kept running so that our Asset Care partner could maintain production.
PEME’s on-site Team Leader, Alex Hamilton-Smith, advised “Due to the conditions, work was challenging, but everything was carried out in a safe and efficient manner, helped by Jeremy’s unwavering humour. Overall, the whole team performed superbly in very difficult conditions and were rewarded by our client with a free breakfast.”
Jeremy is shown receiving his award from the AkzoNobel Engineering Manger.
