Cathy Doherty (PEME Accounts Guru) took part in the recent ‘Sing for Life 2014’ event at the Broadway Theatre in Peterborough. The performance was held to help raise money for the Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Hospice Appeal.
Women from across Peterborough and surrounding districts, were auditioned to be part of the ‘Sing for Life’ Women’s group and Cathy was successful. The event included performances from Peterborough Voices, Peterborough Youth Choir, Peterborough Male Voice Choir, Soloist Katie Jeffries-Harris and of course the ‘Sing for Life’ Women including our Cathy. The event was a good night with music appealing to everyone.
The Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Hospice Appeal needs to raise £6 million by March 2015 to build a new state of the art hospice within the grounds of Thorpe Hall which will improve the quality of care for patients. Cathy has put a lot of effort into the fundraising and has raised a total of £168 from within PEME.
Cathy has also recently auditioned for and has been selected to join the Peterborough Voices. Cathy said “The only thing better than singing is invoicing”.
