PEME’s Reliability Team, led by Stef Smith, has been short-listed for the Small-to-Medium-Enterprise (SME) innovators award at this year’s Manufacturing Champions. They have been recognised for the approach and methodologies developed by the team to deliver Reliability Improvement within factories.
The Award Criteria states that this award celebrates the SME team who show that size is no barrier to delivering innovation, value add and excellence within UK manufacturing. Boosting the number of quality SMEs in UK supply chains could create a £30 billion boost to our economy, according to industry figures and recent history has seen many major OEMs rolling out plans to bring business back to home-grown suppliers. This award shines a light on the men and women who are leading the renaissance. Our judges want to hear about the strategy, teamwork and focus on improvement that has helped you win new business. Your entry could describe a CI project that freed up volume or created the KPI gains to entice an OEM customer or a successful strategic bid to open up a new export market. What’s crucial is the people-led excellence that made it possible.
