PEME’s efforts to improve safety have been recognised by the Weetabix Food Company in awarding our team a Highly Commended in the 2017 Weetabix Procurement Supplier Safety Award.
The awards are designed to celebrate the achievements of the brand’s suppliers. PEME provide an embedded engineering team providing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) support, Project Installations, Engineering Compliance and Plant Maintenance supplemented by our head office specialist engineers in providing Design, Software and Reliability support.
PEME pro-actively manage our on-site team and ensure compliance with relevant safety and engineering standards; we strive for safety improvement to keep our team and our Weetabix colleagues safe. PEME are trying to make safety more accessible and understandable and this is resulting in positive safety behavioural changes and we have developed an improved team attitude towards safety and are working really hard to ensure everyone in our team is involved and see safety as a core activity. This effort has been recognised with a Highly Commended certificate.

Following the presentation, Darren Martin said “we are fully committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees on this contract and this is bringing about a change in attitude towards safety within our team. Our drive for Continuous Improvement in Health and Safety has been infectious and as a result our team is improving and this has been recognised through the award of a Highly Commended certificate by our partners at Weetabix”.
