PEME was invited to take an active part in the recent Weetabix Health and Safety Week by providing a talk to illustrate how thorough investigation of accidents and incidents can be used to drive continuous improvement in the workplace.
The talk was presented by Michael Edwards, PEME Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, who has been with PEME for 10 years and his talk included some of his recollections from this time and his overall 28 years working within the Health and Safety field, drawing on real-life incidents. He delivered his presentation in 7 separate sessions over 3 days, to personnel from all levels of our clients business. This is the third Weetabix Health and Safety Week that PEME has supported and it has always been expertly organised and well attended.
Michael is pictured beaming following delivery of his first presentation and later said “This was a big commitment by PEME to donate my time for this event and demonstrates PEME’s commitment to working with our clients to share our experience, knowledge and learnings to make the workplace safer for everyone. I found it very rewarding to have such good turnouts and feedback when there were so many other attractions and inspirational speakers during the week.”
