PEME have been awarded the inaugural Weetabix Trophy for Contractor Safety Performance. The presentation was part of a week of events organised by Weetabix, designed to raise Health and Safety Awareness to a new level across their sites.
As the embedded maintenance contractor for Weetabix at Burton Latimer and Corby, PEME were delighted to support Weetabix’s innovative and exciting Health and Safety Week initiative with time and displays including the PEME sponsored CTR Racing F1 sidecar.
The Health and Safety Week was organised by the Weetabix Health and Safety Manager, Gary Mobbs, his team and Safety Representatives from the sites. The event involved exhibitors and speakers from several organisations and took personal responsibility, health, fitness and well being as its theme.
Speakers from para-olympians to individuals who had suffered significant injury or loss as a result of accidents at work were featured at packed seminars all week and this provided a poignant but thought provoking back-drop to a successful week of events.
